About the role
We are seeking a 1-year fixed term, full-time opportunity for a Costing & Scheduling Analyst to join our Operational Technology (OT) team to provide project cost analysis and reporting services to support project management requirements including design, delivery, commissioning and integration.
You will engage with a diverse range of internal stakeholders to coordinate cost and scheduling services for the team and will utilise your demonstrated experience within a project management environment to provide high level cost and scheduling support to Project Management teams. Utilise your excellent interpersonal skills working closely with our internal customers, influence key outcomes, whilst being front and centre of service delivery.

What the role will involve:
- Undertake Project Controls Services inc. scheduling and cost control of portfolio of 50+ projects
- Collect and analyse information to determine costs of project activities, reporting variations and identifying savings and benefit opportunities. Provide scheduling, cost analysis and financial reporting
- Periodically prepare and analyse reports measuring the difference between actual costs against agreed baseline costs and breaking down cash flow information into meaningful, easily understandable and actionable information
- Develop and maintain cash flow and schedules for OT projects for all stages of the asset creation process as required
- Provide support to the Project Manager through maintenance of project status reports, identification of project performance issues, recommending actions to resolve issues where appropriate
- Assist in the development of project and contract work breakdown structures and maintain costing information in accordance with Corporation’s adopted PMBOK project management principles and practices
- Progress reporting to the management including budget control, physical progress (S-Curve), cash flow variance analysis and Earned Value Management (EVM)
Key skills and experience:
- Degree level qualification in Business, Project Management, Engineering or relevant discipline, with experience in cost and scheduling analytics (ideally IT/OT) in a government or large, multidisciplinary corporation
- Proficient in Primavera P6 and demonstrated computing skills in financial software, project management software and applications including SAP PS (Project System) and Microsoft suite of systems
- Demonstrated experience and knowledge of engineering asset creation, project planning and costing, project analysis, control and support and project reporting
- Extensive experience providing analytical services, and knowledge of large multilayer governance frameworks
- Stakeholder influence & negotiation skills with technical and executive audiences; clear written communication.
- Demonstrated experience and knowledge of building Power BI dashboards, with ability to develop data visualizations to support project reporting and analytics (advantageous).
- Demonstrated ability to influence and negotiate successful outcomes with stakeholders of all levels
