We’re currently recruiting a skilled Maintenance Team Leader to join our Subiaco Resource Recovery team, overseeing our metro wastewater treatment assets from our Shenton Park location.
This is a permanent full-time role for a leader who can guide, support, and energise their team to deliver high-quality maintenance across our complex treatment assets and schemes.
You will play a pivotal role in leading and supporting a dedicated team, managing day-to-day resourcing, and working closely with our Project Management and Technical Advisory teams.
You will be the key link between departments, ensuring smooth communication and collaboration across the site, particularly around the planning and implementation of asset upgrades.
This includes engaging with internal stakeholders, such as the mechanical maintenance team, to gather input and align on delivery.
You will oversee the coordination and execution of civil, general, and maintenance activities, while contributing to the ongoing development and enhancement of our site’s infrastructure to support future growth and service delivery.

Your first 6 months in this position will include building rapport with your immediate team, and the wider site workers, and establishing relationships with your key internal stakeholders.
From there, you will build on knowledge of the plant and the preventative maintenance plans and requirements.

Focus Areas of the Role
Occupational Safety & Health
Leads in identifying and addressing safety improvements and the development and ongoing management of a strong positive safety focused culture.
Leadership and People Management
Manage relationships, provide leadership, coaching, mentoring and support to operations and maintenance staff as part of an integrated operational team.
Plant Management and Delivery
Provide leadership and oversight overview of day-to-day maintenance activities and people management of the team.
Customer and Stakeholder Management
Effective management of relationships with key stakeholders to ensure efficient and responsive services and support are provided to meet customer needs.
Incident Management
Participate in after-hours activities and duty manager standby roster to meet business needs across our metro sites.
Actively participate in continuous review and implementation of Contingency Plans and incident management processes
Key skills and experience
Trade Qualifications in Mechanical trade
Completion or willing to attain Certificate IV in Frontline Management or equivalent.
Considerable demonstrated experience in the maintenance and reliability improvement of complex treatment processes and/or mechanical processing equipment.
Experience in a complex process industry, and operations and maintenance environment.
Sound communications skillset and ability to communicate to various levels of the organisation and stakeholders.
Substantial demonstrated leadership and supervisory experience in managing change and developing people and teams.
This role requires you to drive our company vehicle. A valid WA ‘C’ Class Drivers Licence is required.
