About the role

We have two permanent opportunities for a Principal Engineer joining both our Major Third Party Projects, and Water Conveyance design teams within engineering in Leederville. This is an opportunity to further develop your skills across water, wastewater and drainage design, during design, construction and commissioning of assets, and lead major complex projects across WA.

What the role will involve

• Plan and manage the development and delivery of complex designs and reports for the solution and engineering problems using in-house or external resources
• Prepare briefs for engagement of consultants; evaluate consultant proposals and makes recommendations
• Manage the preparation of complex tender documents, undertake tender analysis and make recommendations
• Deliver engineering designs or advice for the solution of engineering problems using in-house or external resources 
• Provide advice to and liaise with internal customers, external suppliers, service agencies, consultants, industry regulators and agencies in relation to infrastructure design
• Represent the Corporation in consultation and negotiations with Government agencies, local authorities, consultants, developers and community groups

About you

You’ll have a degree level qualification in an engineering discipline, along with extensive water related professional engineering experience in relation to infrastructure planning, concept and detailed design of water infrastructure assets. You’ll also have experience in the preparation of detailed designs and review of technical reports and tender specifications for water industry infrastructure. Your demonstrated ability to collaborate, negotiate and influence both senior internal and external stakeholders will help ensure success in this role.
