About the role:
We’re seeking an experienced technology leader to step into the role of Principal – Product Owner ERP & Corporate Systems within the Information Technology Services team.
This role is accountable for defining and driving the product vision, roadmap, and backlog for the ERP & Corporate Systems platform, which includes SAP (ECC, SuccessFactors) and a broad portfolio of enterprise applications that support core business operations across the Corporation.
Operating within a SAFe Agile delivery model, you will maximise the value delivered by the platform by prioritising work based on business outcomes, enabling high-performing Agile teams, and ensuring strong alignment between business needs, enterprise architecture, and technical delivery.
The platform comprises a complex, integrated landscape of SAP and non-SAP systems. Success in this role requires a strong product ownership mindset, combined with the ability to understand technical dependencies, integration patterns, and platform constraints to support informed prioritisation and delivery decisions.

What the role will involve:
- Define and maintain the product vision and roadmap for ERP & Corporate Systems, ensuring alignment with enterprise strategy and business priorities
- Provide product ownership across a complex enterprise application landscape, including SAP and a portfolio of corporate systems supporting core business operations
- Own and actively manage a prioritised backlog, ensuring epics and features are clearly defined, aligned to business value, and ready for delivery
- Translate business needs into well-defined epics, features, and user stories with clear acceptance criteria
- Make prioritisation decisions based on business value, technical dependencies, risk, and platform considerations
- Understand and manage platform integrations, dependencies, and cross-system impacts, ensuring enterprise-wide implications are considered
- Work closely with stakeholders, architects, and engineering teams to ensure solutions are feasible, scalable, and aligned with platform standards
- Support and enable Agile delivery by providing clarity of priorities, removing blockers, and participating in key ceremonies
- Balance delivery of business outcomes with technical quality, stability, and maintainability, including consideration of technical debt
- Champion Agile and modern delivery practices, driving continuous improvement in delivery performance
- Monitor industry trends and emerging technologies, recommending innovations to ensure platforms remain fit for purpose
- Provide leadership, mentoring, and capability-building across product and platform teams, fostering a high-performing and collaborative culture
Key skills and experience:
- Degree-level qualification in a relevant technology discipline, with substantial experience in IT operations, platform management, and service integration
- Proven experience as a Product Owner in Agile and/or SAFe environments, including backlog ownership, prioritisation, and value delivery
- Demonstrated experience working with enterprise application platforms, including SAP (ECC, SuccessFactors) and integrated corporate systems
- Strong understanding of complex application landscapes, including integrations, dependencies, and cross-platform impacts
- Solid understanding of software development and engineering practices, including system integration, APIs, and modern architectures
- Experience working closely with engineering teams to deliver enhancements, integrations, and platform improvements
- Ability to make informed trade-offs between business priorities and technical considerations (e.g. complexity, scalability, maintainability)
- Experience defining and managing product roadmaps aligned to business and platform strategy
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to translate business needs into delivery outcomes
- Demonstrated ability to enable high-performing Agile teams and deliver outcomes in complex environments
- Ability to influence, negotiate, and deliver outcomes in a complex organisational environment
