Help Shape the Future of WA's Largest Water Resource Recovery Facility

The Woodman Point Water Resource Recovery Facility (WRRF) is Western Australia's largest resource recovery treatment facility, servicing industrial, commercial and residential customers across Perth's southern metropolitan region.

As part of a major sludge treatment upgrade, the facility is entering a new era of operations with the introduction of advanced technologies, including a Thermal Hydrolysis Process (THP) and an enhanced Energy Recovery Facility. These investments will introduce large-scale steam boiler operations and other advanced treatment technologies, complementing the site's existing treatment and conveyance assets.

We are seeking an experienced Process Coordinator to play a key role in delivering safe, reliable and sustainable treatment operations while working with technologies that are shaping the future of resource recovery in Western Australia.

About the Role

Reporting to the Team Leader Operations, you will provide specialist operational and treatment process expertise across water resource recovery treatment and conveyance assets.

Working closely with maintenance, engineering, project and technical teams, you will optimise plant performance, troubleshoot complex process issues and ensure assets are operated safely, efficiently and in compliance with regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver day-to-day treatment, maintenance and operational activities.
• Lead process troubleshooting, fault finding and optimisation activities.
• Support shutdown planning, commissioning and operational readiness programs.
• Coordinate maintenance activities and contractor performance.
• Carry out complex isolations in accordance with testing, lockout and permit requirements.
• Monitor plant performance and investigate process anomalies.
• Ensure compliance with operating licences, environmental obligations and safety requirements.
• Support incident response, emergency management and after-hours standby requirements.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that improve safety, reliability and operational performance.

About You

You are a safety-focused and technically capable operations professional with experience working in complex industrial or process environments. You enjoy solving challenging operational problems and driving improvements in plant performance.

Essential Requirements

• Certificate III in Water Industry Operations, equivalent qualification, or significant relevant industry experience.
• Significant experience within a process industry, utilities, major infrastructure, manufacturing or operations and maintenance environment.
• Experience with chemical handling and dosing systems.
• Experience with isolation and tagging procedures, permit-to-work systems and confined space entry.
• Strong fault-finding, troubleshooting and technical diagnostic capability.
• Demonstrated experience working safely within high-risk operational environments.
• Current C Class Driver's Licence.

Highly Regarded

• Experience in wastewater, water treatment, Water Resource Recovery, RO, UF or similar process industries.
• Trade qualification in a relevant discipline.
• Experience operating or maintaining steam boiler, high-pressure and high-temperature process systems.
• Experience with gas systems, energy recovery or power generation operations.
• Experience working with SCADA, distributed control systems or automated process plants.
• Highly developed knowledge of risk assessments, Job Safety Analysis (JSA) and operational work instructions.
