About the role:
We have a permanent opportunity for a Field Support Team Leader to join our close-knit team. You will lead and manage the Metro OSH team which operates across Treatment and Resource Recovery and Perth Regional Field services.
You will be lead a team of safety professionals to provide accurate, consistent, professional, and timely health and safety advice, coaching and support to operational staff.
What the role will involve:
- Play an active role in the Safety and Wellbeing extended Lead Team, driving positive and professional outcomes through team engagement and support for the Business Unit
- Visibly lead, engage, and support all team members and foster a spirit of teamwork and unity that encourages high performance and allows each employee to be successful.
- Ensure business unit compliance with HSEAA Management Systems requirements.
- Play a key role in local and central health and safety committees to ensure consistent and relevant health and safety information is shared.
- Lead OSH risk profiling including hazard management and trend monitoring.
- Ensure accurate and effective recording of OSH information, propose and develop strategies to address adverse trends.
About you:
Ideally you will have a degree level qualification in Health and Safety Management or Health Science or have experience in a similar role. You will have a good understanding OSH Legislation including Acts, Regulations and Codes of Practice.
We are looking for someone with high levels of personal responsibility and accountability with a strong focus on results. You will have excellent analytical and negotiation skills and have the ability to coach, advise and influence others.
Your ability to build and drive positive and collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders will be important in this role. You will have the ability to compile and analyse information to draw conclusions and prepare technical reports.
