About the role:

Reporting to the Team Leader, the Technical Advisor – Data and Systems provides ongoing support through the provision of technical advice and input to sampling, monitoring and reporting projects to the development, management and continuous improvement of the Corporation’s Water Quality Management Systems and water and wastewater quality reporting.

What you can expect with this role:

You will play a key role in the following areas:

Water Quality Management Systems

  • Providing technical input to and assist with the enhancement and development of the Water Quality Management and operational reporting systems.
  • Initiating, manage, and participate in projects that contribute to the ongoing effectiveness of the Water Quality Management Systems.

Compliance and Stakeholder Management

  • Develop and implement processes to support achievement of regulatory compliance outcomes
  • Provide technical and strategic liaison on behalf of process groups and operational groups

Reporting and Auditing

  • Produce and review water and wastewater compliance, performance and governance reports
  • Support and participate in water and wastewater quality performance audit programs

Key skills and experience:

  • Tertiary level qualification in a relevant scientific discipline, or equivalent
  • Considerable experience in use of quality management systems or related business systems and information management systems
  • Relevant experience in stakeholder engagement and management.
  • Ability to troubleshoot data and process issues
  •  Strong report writing skills
  • Capability in process management
