Currently, we have a fantastic permanent, part-time opportunity for an enthusiastic and driven professional to join the Customer Service team as a Credit Strategy - Support Officer.

About the role:

We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused Support Officer to join our Credit Operations team. This is a permanent part-time position (0.6 FTE), with hours designed to align with school schedules, working Monday to Friday from 9:00am to 2:00pm.

This role plays a critical part in managing returned accounts activity while delivering fair, empathetic and effective outcomes for both our customers and the business.

What you can expect with this role

  • Management of mercantile portfolio, liaising with stakeholders.
  • Processing of daily mercantile referral files.
  • Managing returned accounts, including sorting and scanning returned mail.
  • Uploading daily bulk communications used for the collection of overdue debt.
  • Initiating and managing restrictions and creating work orders for country towns.
  • Preparing correspondence and investigating and analysing customer data.
  • Negotiating payment arrangements and lump sum payments.
  • Delivering outstanding customer service to both internal and external stakeholders.

Your skills and experience

  • You are a proactive problem solver who enjoys taking ownership of your work and contributing to team success. You have a strong customer focus and understand how to balance customer needs with business outcomes.
  • Experience dealing with key stakeholders
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and customer service skills
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Solid computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • The ability to work autonomously while demonstrating initiative and accountability
