Join the dynamic Great Southern Region Operations Engineering team!

An exciting long term fixed term opportunity exists for an experienced person to provide operationally focussed Mechanical engineering advice for the Great Southern Region.

Primarily based in Albany, the role is responsible for providing support to Operations and our Asset branch through the provision of specialist engineering expertise. 

You will be responsible for providing advice and work to ensure the successful operation, repair, maintenance, and refurbishment of assets.

You will have demonstrated experience in the engagement and garnering of support of operators, engagement, and coordination of contractors on operational sites, providing advice, guiding corrective work, and conducting testing, data gathering, analysis and provision of technical reports which are all key functions of the role.

You also support project delivery by providing technical advice for assigned projects and may supervise contractors and small contracts.

To be successful in the role you will be able to demonstrate the values and behaviours that contribute to an achievement culture and will have a strong background of working in an operational environment.

Ideally, you will possess the following: 

  • Engineering Degree, Tertiary qualification/ Certificate relevant to mechanical operations or operational experience with an engineering/asset focus
  • Experience in Operation & Maintenance principles and processes.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of Asset Management principles and processes
  • Possesses competence in report writing.
  • Ability to read and interpret multi-disciplinary drawings.
  • Well-developed interpersonal and relationship management skills
  • Demonstrates ability to work with a minimum of supervision.
