Your role will involve providing a high standard of medical care to Paediatric and neonatal patients across Western Australia. This includes the management of conditions to acceptable clinical standards and collaborating with Paediatric ward Clinical Nurse Specialist and Nursing staff. You'll be part of a dedicated team that values your expertise and is committed to delivering high-quality healthcare.

Position: Consultant Paediatrician

Location: Western Australia

Role Highlights:

  • Provide comprehensive medical care ranging from routine consultations to urgent medical cases.
  • Responsible for specialist clinical care of Paediatric patients in the community.
  • Manages paediatric and neonatal conditions according to acceptable clinical standards.
  • Collaborates with Paediatric ward Clinical Nurse Specialist and Nursing staff to facilitate patient management.
  • Liaises with patients, family, community services and other representatives as
  • required to facilitate patient management.
  • Collaborate with a dedicated team of healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality patient-centered care.

Qualifications:

  • AHPRA registration
  • Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (Paediatrics and Child Health Division) or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated experience in General Paediatric medicine at a senior level.
  • Demonstrated experience in Neonatal resuscitation and neonatology at a senior level.
  • Sound understanding of remote area health service provision.
  • Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work as an effective team member.
  • Demonstrated understanding and knowledge of the Aboriginal Cultural Respect Framework.
