As an Emergency Consultant you will be responsible for providing expert medical care in the emergency department. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure efficient and effective emergency care.

Position: Emergency Medicine Consultant

Location: Western Australia

Role Highlights:

  • Responsible for the provision of a comprehensive clinical service in emergency medicine to Patients of WA Country Health Service.
  • Lead a multi-disciplinary team which provides comprehensive emergency services to patients of the WA Country Health Service.
  • Promotes patient quality and safety within the emergency department.

Qualifications:

  • AHPRA registration.
  •  Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Emergency Medicine or equivalent that is recognised for registration as a specialist with the Medical Board of Australia. 
  •  Possess substantial postgraduate medical experience in emergency medicine and hospital practice.
  •  Demonstrated capacity to work effectively and to lead in a team environment.
  • Demonstrated experience and ability to foster strong relationships between general practice, emergency medicine and other stakeholders.
  •  Experience in rural area medicine.
  • Significant experience in rural and remote emergency medicine or retrieval services.
  • Demonstrated understanding of issues within a cross cultural environment, particularly Aboriginal people
