The job role of a CSR coordinator involves the following duties:

Developing policies relating to a company’s ethical, sustainable and environmental responsibilities

Ensuring a company has a positive impact on local communities and the environment

Raising public awareness of a company’s social responsibility commitments through marketing

Conducting research into best practice

Writing and actioning a company's social responsibility strategy

Creating partnerships with clients, employees, suppliers, charities, and other groups

Ensuring that a company’s policies meet legal and commercial needs

Organizing events for employees and their teams

Encouraging links between the company and educational or charitable groups

Spreading the word in schools and local organizations about the company and construction in general

Reporting on social responsibility activity to senior managers.


SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

• Conduct primary research within the industry and perform due diligence on nonprofits

• Collaborate with CSR team to develop strong partnerships with key external and internal stakeholders

• Work closely with the Events team to field employee and nonprofit organization requests for volunteer events

• Manage all CSR databases, including charitable giving, volunteer events, and solicitations

• Maintain the budget and determine key metrics to use in writing CSR reports

• Draft materials for CSR Committee meetings

• Assist in the creation and launch of internal communications regarding CSR activities and initiatives

• Create, plan, and execute engagement opportunities for employees in major offices

• Serve as a resource for employees regarding matching gift requests, volunteer time off, volunteer initiatives, and how to become more involved with CSR

• Maintain understanding of trends and changes in CSR


SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

• Bachelor’s degree

• A minimum of four years of work experience, or two years of relevant experience

• Strong research and analytical skills (both quantitative and qualitative)

• Excellent communication skills (both written and oral)

• Strong work ethic, action-oriented, and a demonstrated team-player

• Ability to succeed in a fast-paced and entrepreneurial environment, with a willingness to share in both the “big picture” thinking and organizational tasks

• Excellent judgment; ability to prioritize work, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines

• Innovative and creative approach to problem-solving

• Exceptional interpersonal skills in collaborating and communicating with others

• High level of attention to detail and accuracy
