About us

As part of the Victorian Chamber of Commerce of Industry (VCCI) network of brands, Apprenticeship Support Australia has been contracted by the Australian Government to deliver a suite of apprenticeship and traineeship services through the Australian Apprenticeship Support Network (AASN) across Australia to employers and individuals from pre-commencements through to completion of an apprenticeship/traineeship.

 

About the role

We are looking for a highly motivated and driven Industry Training Consultant who is passionate about providing quality services to employers and their apprentices and trainees. This role is responsible for conducting in person face-to-face Australian Apprenticeship training contract sign-ups in the workplace and supporting apprentices and trainees across this region. You will also raise awareness and promote the benefits of Australian Apprenticeships to employers through various business development activities. Another important facet of this role involves building and maintaining relationships with our stakeholders including, medium and large sized businesses, employment service providers, registered training organisations, group training organisations and TAFEs.

 

About you

This position is well suited to an organised individual who can work autonomously, thrives in a busy environment and has the ability to build rapport with various internal and external stakeholders. In addition, you will have:

 

  • ‘In field’ experience and a sound understanding of the Australian Apprenticeship System.
  • Proven ability to build rapport with the business community and stakeholders.
  • Proven business development experience.
  • Strong communication, liaison and networking capabilities.
  • Proficient skills in MS Office, and the ability to use external computer-based databases.
  • The ability to interpret Government guidelines and related VET legislation.
