We're looking for a Graduate Workplace Relations Advisor to join our Advice Line team. The team offers our members expert advice, training and assistance on a range of straightforward through to complex employment matters, working across various industries and sectors. This role will provide you with exposure to a wide variety of real-world workplace relations matters and a supportive environment where learning, mentoring and growth are built in. If successful, you will receive full and ongoing training and development to ensure you are equipped to join this well-respected workplace relations team.
Key Responsibilities
If you're looking for a role to start your career, as a Graduate Workplace Relations Advisor you will be responsible for providing relevant and accurate telephone advice to members on enquiries. This advice may relate to:
- Industrial relations legislation
- Award interpretation
- Wage rates/audits
- General human resources issues
- General workplace occupational health safety issues.
In addition, this role will provide information to members on the full range of consulting services and products that are available to meet their needs. You will be required to accurately record advice and member interactions, contribute to research, projects and development of workplace relations resources and maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of legislation, policies and best practice.
About you
We're looking for candidates who are:
Early career/recent graduate:
- Recently qualified in HR, Industrial Relations or a related discipline
- Keen to apply your knowledge in a practical, member‑facing environment
- Confident communicator with a strong customer service mindset
The successful candidate will bring:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- A high level of attention to detail and administrative capability
- A collaborative, curious and accountable approach to your work
- A genuine interest in helping businesses succeed
- Capacity to provide administrative support to the team as required, for both individual case work and development of member products.
- Understanding of employment legislation and the Australian Industrial Relations system will be highly regarded.
