Are you a creative storyteller with a passion for social media and a curiosity for what makes people click, comment, and connect? We’re looking for a Social Media Coordinator to help us grow our online presence and engage with Victoria’s vibrant business community.

About the role

As our Social Media Coordinator, you’ll play a pivotal role in amplifying our brand’s voice and fostering meaningful connections with our diverse community. Joining our dynamic Marketing and Communications team, you’ll have the creative freedom to craft compelling narratives and produce engaging, trend-setting content across platforms like LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and X. Whether it’s designing eye-catching posts or capturing the essence of our mission through LoFi videos, your creativity and innovation will drive the way we inspire and engage our network.

 

About you

You’re a curious and creative communicator who’s passionate about the power of social media to connect people and ideas. Whether you’re fresh out of university or bringing a year or two of experience, you’re eager to learn, experiment, and grow. You thrive in a fast-paced environment, enjoy staying on top of digital trends, and relish turning complex ideas into engaging content. You’re proactive, collaborative, and ready to make your mark in a team that values innovation and impact.

In addition, you will have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, Marketing or a related field.
  • Up to 2 years of experience in social media or digital communications role (internships and volunteer experience welcome).
  • Familiarity with social media posting, moderation and understanding of the most appropriate and successful content across various channels including LinkedIn, Facebook, X, TikTok and Instagram.
  • Passion for creating engaging content, including LoFi videos.
  • A curious, positive and proactive attitude and the ability to work autonomously when needed.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills including a strong attention to detail.
  • The ability to work under pressure and project manage competing priorities.
  • Tech savvy with basic knowledge/experience of video editing, graphic design, preferably using programs like Canva or Adobe Suite.
