Verico is a multi-disciplined advisory group that works closely with our customers in managing the technical and economic life of their assets. By leveraging our specialist expertise, we provide results and deliver insights that maintain and improve the integrity of high value assets, optimising performance over their life. We work with our customers to provide accurate and timely data helping to identify and mitigate the risks that could be associated with asset failure, or to comply with statutory environmental reporting requirements. Our solutions support a variety of business critical activities through testing, assurance, calibration, condition and compliance monitoring.
We have a rare entry-level opportunity to join our team as an Environmental Monitoring Field Technician. A perfect role if you have a passion for electronics or computer systems, keen to work with your hands, and a desire to work outdoors.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
As a junior Environmental Monitoring Field Technician you will be supported and mentored in the day to day maintenance and operation of air monitoring networks for clients, predominantly across the power and related industries. You will develop expertise in the installation, operation and maintenance of complex air and climatic monitoring networks. Including developing knowledge of network telemetry, and the electronic, mechanical, and chemical principles associated with continuous air and climatic monitoring instrumentation. In addition, all works will be carried out in accordance with the relevant Australian Standards, and our NATA accreditation.
As you develop your skills in the role, you will progress from undertaking routine maintenance work, through to responding to breakdowns, undertaking diagnostics, and repairs of the components of air and climatic monitoring networks as required.
You will spend a large amount of your time outdoors, working at our customer's sites, both locally and remotely. You will also work with a passionate, fun and hardworking team that will support you on your journey down a rewarding career path.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
As this is an entry level role, most importantly we're looking for someone with a can-do attitude and desire to take on new challenges. In addition, you will have:
- completed or near completion of a Certificate or Diploma in Electronics, Computer Systems or similar;
- a valid driver's licence;
- an interest in learning about the requirements of air and climatic monitoring networks, including instrumentation and communications;
- strong verbal and written communications skills.
