Purpose

Simply put, the job of a Venue Manager is to oversee and lead the operations of the venue. The two most important aspects of the role are "leadership" and "mentorship." You will be responsible for managing staff, schedules, and creating a vibrant atmosphere. Your coaching abilities will empower the team to excel and reach the pinnacle of success.

Responsibilities

The Hiring Champion:

  • Recruit and select exceptional team members who embody the passion and dedication required. Master the art of staff training and team building. Your guidance will forge a cohesive unit and foster a sense of camaraderie and enthusiasm.

Leadership:

  • Organize and lead dynamic management meetings that inspire greatness. Showcase your exceptional time management skills and personal presentation while maintaining an engaging and energetic atmosphere. Create schedules that align with targets and guidelines, seamlessly orchestrating staffing needs to strike the perfect balance between excellence and cost efficiency.

The Financial Guru:

  • Effortlessly manage cash registers, safe, petty cash, and prepare reports. Demonstrate your financial acumen and bring order to the numbers. Oversee all banking activities and financial reporting to our head office, wielding your expertise to ensure our treasure trove remains secure. Forecast revenue and utilize your skills to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as wage % and cost of goods % across our tantalizing food and beverage offerings.

Tech Enthusiast:

  • Master the art of communication, utilizing programs and systems such as SLACK, Teams, OneNote, email, calendar, Deputy, Flare HR, and Livehire. Your tech-savvy skills will keep our operations seamlessly connected and running like a well-oiled machine.


Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Venue/Bar Manager or in a similar role within the hospitality industry.
  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Strong knowledge of beverage trends, mixology, and industry best practices.
  • Proficient in bar operations, including inventory management, POS systems, and financial controls.
  • Outstanding customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle high-pressure situations.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
