Job Title: Senior Secretariat and Communications Officer 

Location: Collingwood, VIC (Hybrid Work Model)

Employment Type: Part-time, Fixed-term (until November 2028)

Salary: $72,000 - $78,000 per annum (plus super) depending on experience

About CEADH and VACCHO

Under the auspices of VACCHO in consultation with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peak bodies nationwide, the Centre of Excellence for Aboriginal Digital in Health (CEADH) champions Aboriginal-led recommendations for digital in health technologies, respecting the diversity of 250+ languages, Nations, clans, and communities across Australia.

VACCHO is the peak representative for the health and wellbeing of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people in Victoria, providing support to 34 member Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisations providing support to over 78,000 Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people across the state.

About the role

We are looking for a capable and motivated Senior Secretariat and Communications Officer to provide operational support and coordination for CEADH. This role is a part time position (0.6 FTE), on a three-year contract.

This is a diverse role that will suit someone who thrives on stakeholder coordination. While based at VACCHO in Collingwood, you will use your exceptional verbal and written communications skills to play a key role in ensuring CEADH’s communications, governance and research collaboration activities are effective and in keeping with Closing the Gap Priority Reform to foster self-determination, data governance and sovereignty and digital inclusion.

You will also maintain CEADH’s website and social media presence, coordinate communications and public updates, and provide secretariat and administrative support to the CEADH Partnership Council, CEADH membership and partners and approved CEADH working groups.

Your knowledge and experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people will enable you to succeed as you work with organisations across Australia.
