We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Technical Officer to join the School of Nursing and Midwifery. In this role, you will be integral to the successful operation of the Clinical Skills Laboratory and Simulation Learning Environment (SLE). You will provide high-level technical support and monitoring and tracking laboratory resources to enable the seamless delivery of practical learning sessions for our students. Additionally, you will offer essential administrative support to ensure the smooth functioning of our facilities.
Your responsibilities will involve:
- Supporting the setup, and maintenance of the Simulation Learning Environment.
- Monitoring and maintaining equipment and consumables, ensuring they are in optimal working condition.
- Collaborating with staff to meet laboratory requirements and maintain effective resource management.
- Ensuring adherence to Work Health and Safety policies.
- Provide administrative support and prepare accurate documentation to support simulated learning courses
This fixed term position is Full Time for 12 months at a HEW 4 Higher Education Level and will primarily be located at Callaghan Campus with and expectation to work at Central Coast Clinical School as required.
You will bring:
Relevant experience or exposure in a clinical, simulation, nursing, health, or emergency care environment
A practical, hands-on approach and enjoy being actively involved in supporting the set up of the teaching and learning environment.
Organisation and dependability, with the ability to manage competing priorities in a busy, fast-paced setting.
Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills, and able to respond calmly when things need to be adjusted quickly.
A strong work ethic, with a focus on getting the details right.
