About the role
As the Coordinator, Outreach and Engagement, you’ll lead the planning and delivery of programs, exhibitions, and communications that enhance the University Library’s visibility and impact. You’ll work across social media, websites, and physical spaces to create inclusive and engaging content for students, staff, alumni, donors, and volunteers.
You’ll collaborate with internal teams and external partners to promote library services, showcase collections, and support strategic initiatives. From designing campaigns and events to managing digital content and stakeholder relationships, your work will help build a vibrant library culture that reflects the diversity and aspirations of our communities.
What you’ll do
- Develop and deliver promotional campaigns across social media, websites, and print
- Manage communications planning, branding, and digital asset creation
- Translate complex service information into clear, engaging content for diverse audiences
- Support the Library to deliver best practice engagement activities including exhibitions, events, and thematic programs that showcase library services and collections
- Build relationships with internal stakeholders and external community groups
- Support strategic projects and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
This is a continuing, full-time position based at our Callaghan Campus, on Awabakal land.
What we’re looking for
- A degree with relevant experience in communications, marketing, public relations, or a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Experience in designing and delivering engaging campaigns and/or programs of events or exhibitions
- Social media management, website content creation, and digital storytelling experience
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex ideas into accessible, inclusive messaging and to understand and tailor content to audience needs
- A continuous improvement mindset and leadership skills to work with a range of people to deliver quality outcomes together
