We’re looking for an Accounts Payable Officer to support accurate and timely payments across the University - from vendor invoices and staff reimbursements to purchasing card transactions. Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage your own portfolio of suppliers and process transactions in line with University policies.
  • Accurately process vendor invoices, staff reimbursements, and purchasing card transactions.
  • Conduct weekly domestic payment runs and reconcile supplier statements.
  • Use TechnologyOne and OCR systems to process transactions efficiently.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to resolve issues.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

This is a full time fixed-term role (July 2025 – July 2026), based at our Callaghan Campus (Awabakal and Worimi land), with hybrid work flexibility (up to 40% work-from-home).

About You

We are looking for someone with:

  • A certificate-level qualification in accounting or business, or equivalent experience.
  • 3–5 years’ experience in accounts payable or purchasing card management.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow processes accurately.
  • Proficiency in MS Office.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a proactive, customer-focused approach.
  • Experience with TechnologyOne or a similar ERP system is desired.

Eligibility

  • You must have unrestricted work rights in Australia. Visa Sponsorship is not available for this role.
  • The successful applicant will be required to undergo background checks, including criminal history check.

  • Salary: $74,491 - $80,972 plus 17% superannuation, commensurate with your skills and experience.
