The Role

As the Test Lead you will oversee the full Test Delivery Lifecycle across multiple initiatives, providing both strategic coordination, mentoring and hands‑on testing expertise.

In this role you will:

  • Contribute to both strategic project delivery and hands on Business‑as‑Usual testing activities.
  • Lead a small team of up to 3 student Test Analysts providing guidance, mentoring, and support.
  • Deliver on the testing framework and drive a consistent, standardised testing approach across all assigned initiatives.
  • Plan ahead to assess capacity needs and allocate testing resources proactively across multiple initiatives

This full-time position is a fixed term role until the end of 2026 at a HEW 8 located at Callaghan Campus (Awabakal Land).


How will you inspire us?

You will have:

  • Extensive relevant experience, or extensive experience as a manual tester on multiple system / multi-integration projects; or and equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education.
  • Experience with JIRA and familiarity with using tools like Tricentis qTest.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with virtual teams and ability to work in an Agile environment, if required.
  • Flexibility to manage/work on multiple streams of testing, or with vendor test teams.
  • Highly developed interpersonal skills including the ability to participate in a team environment demonstrating clear communication and mutual respect.
  • Ability to embrace change in response to new initiatives, strategic direction, or external requirements.
