We are seeking experienced Senior Delivery Managers to join our Digital Technology Solutions (DTS) team. These roles offer the opportunity to lead the end-to-end delivery of complex digital platforms, applications, and services across a diverse and evolving portfolio, aligned with University-wide digital priorities and the Looking Ahead Strategic Plan.

The role 

We are recruiting for several Senior Delivery Manager positions to lead a variety of initiatives and delivery streams within DTS.  

As a Senior Delivery Manager, you will provide strategic leadership and operational oversight across the full-service lifecycle — from planning and implementation through to optimisation, adoption, and continuous improvement. You will work closely with senior stakeholders, technical teams, and external partners to ensure services are reliable, scalable, secure, and deliver measurable value. 

You will play a key role in driving service maturity, resolving complex issues, and ensuring delivery outcomes meet agreed performance, quality, and financial expectations. 

What you’ll do

Depending on the portfolio you are assigned to (Digital Experience, Digital Engagement, Data Integration & Research, or Core Technology), you will: 

  • Lead the delivery and operational performance of assigned digital platforms, applications, or services. 
  • Ensure services meet or exceed agreed SLAs, KPIs, and quality benchmarks, with a strong focus on stakeholder satisfaction. 
  • Oversee the planning and delivery of high-impact projects and service enhancements, managing dependencies, risks, and resources across multiple teams and vendors. 
  • Resolve complex incidents, escalations, and service issues using structured problem-management approaches. 
  • Champion continuous improvement, service optimisation, and capability uplift using data, feedback, and industry best practice. 
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with senior business stakeholders, technical teams, and vendors. 
  • Manage strategic vendor relationships, contracts, and performance, ensuring value for money and policy compliance. 
  • Lead change management and adoption activities to support successful service transitions. 

These full-time positions are fixed term for up to 2 years and located onsite at Callaghan Campus. 

About you 

You are a confident and pragmatic delivery leader with experience operating at scale in complex, multi-stakeholder environments. You bring:  

  • Proven experience leading the end-to-end delivery of digital platforms, applications, or enterprise services, supported by strong capability in service management, project delivery, and operational oversight.  
  • Demonstrated success managing vendors, contracts, budgets, and performance outcomes, and are recognised for your exceptional stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to influence and advise at senior levels.  
  • Strong track record of driving continuous improvement, uplifting service maturity, and leading organisational change, alongside experience building, leading, and developing high-performing teams.  
  • A structured, data-informed approach to risk, issue, and performance management and have a sound understanding of governance, compliance, and contemporary IT security principles.
