Are you a detail orientated person with a passion for "anytime, anywhere" access to information?

As the Scholarly Resources Project Officer (HEW 6) you will work alongside our project team of diverse experts to enhance the availability of our library scholarly resources. You will be tackling an array of metadata issues impeding the access to scholarly resources by our university and the wider community. You’ll be supporting the establishment of workflows to address future facing access challenges.

In this role you will:

  • Identify and resolve metadata issues, and support the establishment of workflows and creation of standard operating procedures.
  • Support the Digital Library Systems Coordinator in the development, testing and implementation of automated solutions to assist in metadata remediation activities.
  • Carry out data analysis work and provide general administration for the project, including monitoring project risks and regularly communicating project progress and outcomes to relevant stakeholders.

This 7-month fixed term position is full time and will be located at the Callaghan Campus (Awabakal and Worimi land).

What we offer

The remuneration for this position is from $90,316 to $99,655 + 17% superannuation and is commensurate with skills and experience.

  2. Demonstrated experience working with library management systems and cataloguing and metadata schemas including Resource Description and Access (RDA), MARC21, Dewey Decimal and other relevant schemas.
  3. Demonstrated strong problem solving and analytic skills with proven attention to detail and ability to guide complex, detail-oriented work.
  4. Demonstrated skills and experience in developing and writing procedures and work instructions.
  5. Demonstrated ability to set appropriate goals, prioritise work, manage time and workload, follow through on tasks, report progress, and achieve results.
