We’re seeking an emerging academic with expertise in innovation and entrepreneurship to join our internationally recognised Newcastle Business School. This continuing position offers the opportunity to contribute to a School with a clear strategic direction, strong industry connections, and a globally engaged Faculty committed to supporting your academic growth.
The Role
In this role, you will be supported to deliver excellence in teaching, research, and engagement. Key responsibilities include:
- Teaching innovation and entrepreneurship across undergraduate and postgraduate programs.
- Contributing to curriculum design with a focus on authentic learning experiences.
- Publishing impactful research in leading journals (ABDCA*/A, Q1), with demonstrated potential to attract competitive funding.
- Building industry partnerships that enhance research relevance and student outcomes.
- Co-supervising PhD students and contributing to the School’s research culture.
This permanent full-time role is based at NUspace (Awabakal land), with opportunities to teach across other campuses as required.

- A PhD in innovation, entrepreneurship, or a related field
- A developing track record of high-quality publications and national research recognition
- Experience in curriculum development and student-centred teaching
- A collaborative mindset and commitment to academic service and engagement
