Be challenged and imagine with us

Digital transformation is at the heart of the University of Newcastle’s strategic direction — and we’re seeking a number of experienced Change Managers to help make it happen.

In 2026, the University of Newcastle will continue its exciting program of work in a range of fields including implementation of Generative AI tools, Cyber Security initiatives, enterprise Service Management (ServiceNow), enterprise CRM (Microsoft Dynamics), audio visual technology (Zoom), HR (SAP) and research systems.

Working closely with initiative teams in the Delivery Practice, you’ll be responsible for ensuring stakeholders are informed, equipped, and motivated to embrace transformation.

In this role you will:

  • Lead the development and delivery of change strategies that support successful adoption and long-term benefits across programs and initiatives.
  • Develop and execute engagement strategies with a wide range of stakeholders to build trust, gain buy-in, and manage resistance effectively.
  • Create and prepare communication plans that are purpose driven and customer centric, ensuring alignment across departments and consistent messaging.
  • Design and deliver training and support materials that empower users and promote self-service learning.

These roles are full time positions, up to 2-years fixed term, located at the Callaghan Campus (Awabakal land). All positions will commence in 2026.

How will you inspire us?

You will have:

  • Proven change management expertise within digital environments, ideally in large, complex organisations with experience of the relevant technologies.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills, with the ability to bring people on the journey – even in challenging circumstances.
  • Experience of PROSCI or other change methodologies
  • A pragmatic, resilient approach and genuine enthusiasm for delivering positive outcomes in a collaborative team setting.

Preference will be given to candidates with experience of the related technologies and/or Higher Education.
