We’re seeking a highly organised and creative Publications Coordinator to join our Future Students team on a parental leave cover contract. In this pivotal role, you’ll lead the development and delivery of the University’s flagship student recruitment publications—bringing together strategy, storytelling, and project management to influence how prospective students engage with us.

The role

From concept to completion, you’ll coordinate every stage of production across a suite of high-profile publications, ensuring they are delivered on time, on budget, and to a standard that enhances the University’s reputation and supports student recruitment goals. This includes:

  • Leading the planning, coordination, production, and delivery of major recruitment publications, including undergraduate and postgraduate guides, international prospectus, and pathway publications
  • Developing creative approaches to ensure publications stand out in a competitive market and positively influence student recruitment and conversion
  • Managing end-to-end project timelines, production schedules, and budgets
  • Collaborating with content producers, designers, and external suppliers (photographers, printers, researchers) to deliver high-quality outputs
  • Engaging and influencing a broad range of stakeholders across Colleges and Divisions to ensure content is accurate, aligned, and impactful
  • Ensuring consistency across publications and alignment with broader marketing channels and strategies
  • Coordinating market research and analyse trends to inform publication development and continuous improvement
  • Overseeing governance processes, including approvals and sign-offs
  • Contributing to web content updates and integrated marketing activity
  • Developing engaging stories that support recruitment, build reputation, and align with content strategy
  • Supporting student recruitment initiatives including events, expos, and engagement activities as required

This fixed term position is full time for 12 months at a HEW6 Higher Education Worker level , based at Callaghan

  • Experience in publications, marketing coordination, or content development (highly regarded)
  • Ability to balance creativity with structure, ensuring both innovation and delivery
