Working with a range of partners and internal teams you will be supporting our client base in the use of the Library systems. You will be able to create documentation, user guides, FAQ’s and, propose opportunities for process improvement. Troubleshoot issues with the use of our Library Management System as well as other supporting software and escalate when required.

This continuing position is full time at a HEW 5 Higher Education Level and will be based at Callaghan Campus (Awabakal and Worimi land)

  1. A degree without subsequent relevant work experience; or an associate diploma in Library Science and at least 2 years subsequent relevant work experience; or completion of a post-trades certificate or advanced certificate and extensive relevant experience as a technician or a combination of relevant experience and education/training.
  2. Broad knowledge of tertiary library systems an experience in the functionality of library management systems including records structure and format, import/export of records and back up operations
  3. Demonstrated experience in searching licensed databases and electronic resources and applying knowledge of authentication systems to resolve access issues.
  4. Demonstrated organisational skills including high level attention to detail and the ability to prioritise to meet agile timelines and competing demands.
  5. Demonstrated competency with IT and capacity to apply development of digital workplace skills to support work and deliver on outcomes.
  6. Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills including the capacity to build relationships and an inter-disciplinary way of working.
  7. Demonstrated ability to set appropriate goals, prioritise work, manage time and workload, follow through on tasks, report progress, and achieve results.
