As the Scholarly Publishing Support Librarian, you’ll provide research support services for the institutional repository, including open access publishing, deposit of digital theses, and creation and maintenance of quality metadata and repository support resources.
This role sits within the University Library’s Collections and Scholarly Publishing team and works closely with researchers and professional staff to deliver impactful services aligned with the University’s strategic goals.
In this role you will:
- Assist with the promotion of copyright and scholarly publishing services offered by the University Library, supporting the dissemination of information to a variety of diverse audiences.
- Liaise and collaborate with researchers to facilitate and maximise the deposit of open access resources, in line with funder and institutional policies.
- Interpret publisher copyright and open access policies to provide informed advice, assisting researchers in depositing their research outputs.
- Create, review, and verify metadata for inclusion in University research systems, including publications, theses, and other research outputs.
- Navigate a variety of University systems to consolidate information, manage files, and apply digital skills to support tasks.
This continuing position is full time and will be located at the Callaghan Campus (Awabakal land).

The remuneration for this position is Higher Education Worker Level 5 + 17% superannuation and is commensurate with skills and experience.
