At the Centre for Women's Health Research, we are dedicated to advancing knowledge and improving health outcomes for women through rigorous research and innovative approaches. Our research focuses on a wide range of topics. We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Research Assistant to join our dynamic team and contribute to our impactful research projects.

Under the guidance of the Research Fellow, the Research Assistant will play a vital role in various research projects, providing support in project management, ethics applications, manuscript preparation, grant applications, and more. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and contribute to the advancement of women's health research. This includes:

  • Working collaboratively as part of the research team, providing support in various research activities.
  • Developing research materials and processes, including survey development, database management, and ethics applications.
  • Coordinating peer-reviewed and grey literature reviews, utilizing Endnote for reference management.
  • Contributing to research outcomes by assisting in the preparation of reports, peer-reviewed publications, and conference materials.
  • Identifying and preparing grant applications for internal and external funding opportunities, ensuring timely submission.
  • Performing administrative duties such as organizing meetings, preparing documents, and supporting centre events.
  • Coordinating stakeholder engagement activities as required, maintaining effective communication with internal and external collaborators.
  • Providing support for meetings, including agenda preparation, minute-taking, and follow-up on action items.

  1. Completion of a bachelor’s degree in psychology, Public Health or similar health related discipline and/or equivalent experience in a similar role
  2. Demonstrated ability to meet tight deadlines, manage time effectively, and work effectively within team environments and independently
  3. Excellent oral and written communication skills
  4. Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Endnote
  5. Demonstrated experience in conducting literature reviews
  6. Demonstrated experience in database development and/ or management
  7. Experience with qualitative and quantitative research methods
  8. Willingness and ability to travel
