An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced and passionate clinician to join our Psychology team as a Clinical Placement Supervisor. In this highly rewarding role, you will play a key part in supporting postgraduate psychology students through their professional placements while strengthening partnerships with external practitioners and placement providers.
Working across professional pathway programs, you will help create meaningful placement opportunities, provide supervision and support to students and supervisors, and contribute to the continued growth and success of our Psychology Clinic and training programs.

The Role
As the Clinical Placement Supervisor, you will facilitate and oversee student placements across professional psychology programs, ensuring students receive high-quality learning experiences that support their professional development and accreditation requirements.
You will build and maintain strong relationships with external psychology practitioners and organisations to expand placement opportunities and enhance industry engagement. The role also provides strategic input into program development, policies, and initiatives that strengthen the Discipline’s professional training programs.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and maintaining relationships with external psychology practitioners and placement providers
- Coordinating and managing student placements in an equitable and transparent manner
- Supporting students and supervisors throughout the placement experience
- Conducting mid-placement and end-of-placement reviews
- Identifying professional development opportunities for students and supervisors
- Maintaining placement records and documentation through SONIA
- Contributing to strategic initiatives, policy development, and continuous improvement activities within the Discipline and Clinic
About you
You are an experienced and collaborative clinician with a passion for supervision, student development, and professional engagement. You thrive on building strong stakeholder relationships and enjoy contributing to innovative and high-quality professional training programs.
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
- Full registration as a Psychologist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
- Area of Practice Endorsement in Clinical Psychology
- Board Approved Supervisor Status with AHPRA
- Demonstrated clinical experience and expertise in professional supervision
- Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills
- Excellent organisational and communication skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities
- A proactive and collaborative approach to program development and continuous improvement
