The School of Humanities, Creative Industries and Social Sciences is a major driver of the College and University’s social research and innovation agenda and will increasingly look to pursue industry engagement into new markets for research and development, social innovation, and potential commercialisation opportunities, particularly in the social and human services, arts, heritage and culture sector, and through our professionally accredited degree in Social Work.

The Role 

In this role you will:

  • Create engaging curriculum materials for social work courses, ensuring alignment with industry standards and best practices.
  • Lead interactive and informative lectures, discussions, and workshops in various social work subjects.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to students, fostering their academic and professional growth.
  • Collaborate with colleagues on research, curriculum development, and community partnerships.
  • Take on responsibilities related to program management and academic leadership.

This continuing position is full time and will be located at the Newcastle City Precinct (Awabakal and Worimi land).

The remuneration for this position is from $138,079 + 17% superannuation.
