The Role
We are seeking a Student Services Assistant to join our friendly team in the Department of Rural Health. This front-facing role is the first point of contact for students, staff, and visitors, making it central to our welcoming and supportive environment.
You’ll be responsible for:
- Delivering high-quality reception and customer service, managing enquiries with warmth, empathy, and professionalism.
- Providing general administrative support across the team, including bookings, travel arrangements, ordering supplies, and room/resource coordination.
- Assisting with events and meetings by coordinating catering, cleaning, and security, and supporting agenda/minute preparation.
- Supporting student accommodation processes, including managing applications and records using StarRez, and responding to placement-related enquiries.
This full time position is fixed term until December 2026 at a HEW 4 Higher Education Level located at Taree Campus.
About you
To succeed in this role, you’ll bring:
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a polite, can-do attitude.
- Initiative and empathy, with the ability to work independently and respond proactively to changing needs.
- Solid organisational skills and attention to detail, particularly when managing bookings, emails, or coordinating events.
- Experience in administrative support, ideally in a customer or student-focused environment.
