Be Challenged and Imagine with us

Are you highly organised, collaborative and looking to take the next step in your career? Join the University of Newcastle's Future Students Domestic team and play a key role in delivering projects that help future students discover the life-changing opportunities available at our University.

This is a varied and rewarding role where no two days are the same. Working across digital, marketing and student recruitment projects, you'll collaborate with stakeholders from web, design, marketing and recruitment teams to bring initiatives to life and support the delivery of outstanding experiences for prospective students.

Whether you're coming from a marketing, communications, project support or student recruitment background, this is an excellent opportunity to broaden your skills, build project management experience and work alongside experienced professionals in a supportive and collaborative team.

The Role

As Project Officer, you'll support the planning, coordination and delivery of projects that contribute to the Future Students Domestic strategy. You'll:

  • Coordinate and support a range of digital, marketing and student recruitment projects.
  • Work with a diverse range of stakeholders across the University, and occasionally external partners, to coordinate desired project outcomes.
  • Build strong relationships across the Future Students team, including marketing, web, design and student recruitment specialists.
  • Assist with project reporting, communications and continuous improvement activities.
  • Support the delivery of marketing initiatives, campaign content and updates to digital, web and design content that engages prospective students.

About you

You're a proactive and organised professional who enjoys bringing people together to achieve shared outcomes. You thrive in a collaborative environment, communicate confidently with a range of stakeholders and can manage competing priorities with ease.

You'll also bring:

  • Experience supporting projects, campaigns or initiatives in marketing, communications, education or a similar environment.
  • Excellent organisational and planning skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Well-developed communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • You enjoy building productive stakeholder relationships, finding practical solutions to challenges and identifying opportunities to improve the way projects are delivered.
  • The ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining quality and meeting deadlines.

Experience with website content management, digital projects or design processes would be an advantage but isn't essential—we're looking for someone eager to learn and grow.

This continuing role is full time at a HEW 5 Higher Education Worker Level and is located at Callaghan Campus.
