Rapidly build proof of concepts, pilots and MVPs that modernise our university.

We’re seeking a Full Stack Developer to rapidly build proof of concepts, pilots and MVPs using GenAI, Model Context Protocol (MCP), Python, JavaScript, Microsoft Power Platform and Copilot / AI Studio. You’ll be immersed in software development and collaborate with a fast-paced team to deliver secure, scalable, and innovative digital solutions.

 What you’ll do

  • Work in sprints to rapidly develop web apps for stakeholders and use cases across the university
  • Engage with stakeholders to understand needs, refine scope and manage expectations
  • Ensure code quality and follow development standards
  • Use CI/CD and automation to boost efficiency and productivity
  • Embed cyber security best practice in everything you build
  • Support, maintain and improve the apps you build
  • Contribute to a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement

 What we're looking for

  • Previous experience in full stack software development roles
  • Detailed hands-on experience integrating GenAI technologies (e.g. ChatGPT, Amazon Bedrock/Q, Azure AI Studio and other LLMs or tools) with web apps
  • Practical experience in implementing the Model Context Protocol (MCP) for agentic AI solutions
  • Demonstrated experience in rapid development of web apps using modern libraries/frameworks in Python (e.g. Flask) and/or JavaScript (e.g. NodeJS, React)
  • Proven experience delivering apps with low-code tools like Microsoft Power Platform
  • Familiarity building web apps with AWS and Azure Cloud Services
  • Demonstrated ability to follow development standards and CI/CD using Azure DevOps and GitHub
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate across teams

This full-time position is an initial fixed term until October 2027 at a HEW 6 Higher Education Level located in the Digital Technology Solutions department at Callaghan Campus.
