As Events Officer you will play a pivotal role in delivering memorable, high‑quality events that foster lifelong connections between the University and its alumni.
Partnering closely with the Alumni Engagement team, you will bring events to life through seamless coordination, strong attention to detail, and a commitment to exceptional customer experience, while also contributing to major student‑facing initiatives across the University.
In this role you will:
- Deliver end‑to‑end coordination of alumni and student engagement events, from planning and logistics through to on‑the‑day delivery and evaluation.
- Oversee event operations including venue and supplier management, registrations, run sheets, risk documentation, and permits.
- Support the delivery of flagship University events such as orientation and graduation as part of a collaborative events team.
- Track budgets, process financial transactions, and contribute to meaningful post‑event reporting and continuous improvement.
This continuing position is full time and will be located at the Callaghan Campus (Awabakal land).

The remuneration for this position is Higher Education Worker Level 5 + 17% superannuation and is commensurate with skills and experience.

- Demonstrated experience in the delivery of high-quality events, working within designated budgets and resources.
- Excellent organisational and project management skills, including scheduling, prioritising, and event coordination.
- Strong interpersonal, written and oral communication skills and experience in the preparation of event documents and liaising with suppliers, contractors and other stakeholders.
- Demonstrated high level of computer literacy with ability and willingness to embrace new technologies.
