Job no: BK43A
Category: People & Culture

The opportunity:

This is a true ANZ recruitment role, spanning across our New Zealand and Australian operations. You’ll sit within our People, Culture & Transformation function and partner directly with leaders across multiple business units, many of whom sit in different time zones and brands (Tobys Estate, Mocopan, Laffare, Atomic, Robert Harris & The Roastery at 23).

It’s fast-paced, varied, and high-impact. You’ll work in a low-agency model where we run nearly all recruitment in-house, giving you real ownership and visibility over every search. From system support and advertising to proactive sourcing and reporting, this role blends operational execution with process improvement and data insight.

Key focus areas:

  • 360 recruitment delivery: Run end-to-end recruitment across a diverse role mix – café managers, brand, operations, finance, logistics, and more.
  • Café recruitment support: Act as the go-to for AU/NZ café leaders – supporting job posting, candidate flow, system queries, and onboarding coordination.
  • Stakeholder partnership: Build trust with hiring managers across functions and levels; influence decisions with market insight and best practice.
  • Talent pipelining: Develop and manage proactive talent pools in HumanForce for particular parts of our business.
  • Systems & reporting: Own our recruitment reporting – weekly metrics and quarterly dashboards in PowerBI.
  • HR activity : step in to support broader HR initiatives as needed – providing reliable assistance across generalist tasks and team priorities.

What we are looking for:

  • Experience: ~2 years in an internal recruitment and/or agency environment. You know what good looks like and can run your own roles end-to-end.
  • Mindset: You hire with the future in mind – not just to fill jobs – balancing candidate experience with business outcomes.
  • Tools: Confident with ATS systems, strong written comms, and comfortable turning data into insight.
  • People Skills: You can flex tone, manage expectations, and work cross-functionally with ease. You enjoy being the steady hand across shifting priorities.
  • Adaptability: Comfortable working across AU/NZ time zones when needed. You’re not phased by a bit of ambiguity or change – you make things happen.

Why join us?

  • Iconic brands, supportive team, and a business that’s scaling and evolving.
  • Recharge Leave – 5 extra days a year.
  • Hybrid working with at least a day at home and a Roastery at 23 office worth showing up for.
  • And of course – endless coffee.

The process:

Applications will be reviewed as they come in and screening questions sent via the system to a shortlist. First interviews will be held online, with second interviews in person. References will be completed as the final step in the process.

No agencies please.
