Why join us as our Financial Accountant?
Reporting to our Financial Accounting Manager, you'll be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and delivering high-quality financial accounting support across the UCC Coffee Group. Key responsibilities include the month‑end close, fixed assets and capital expenditure management, cashflow forecasting, tax compliance, audit support, financial reporting, and contribute to budgeting/forecasting activities, providing financial insights to support decision‑making. You’ll also have opportunities to contribute to project work, supporting process improvements, and continuous improvement initiatives across the business.
What you'll do
- Preparation of journal entries (e.g. accruals, prepayments, intercompany reconciliations) and support the month-end close to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Prepare timely balance sheet reconciliations and identify, investigate, and document any risks or opportunities.
- Support financial reporting, cash flow forecasting, and variance analysis, providing meaningful insights to support business decision-making.
- Manage fixed assets, capital work‑in‑progress, lease accounting, and maintain accurate CAPEX records.
- Preparation of tax compliance tasks (including BAS, FBT, payroll tax, WHT).
- Maintain general ledger integrity, support year‑end audit requirements, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
About you?
- 5+ years’ experience in financial accounting - including month-end close, balance sheet reconciliation and tax compliance
- CA/CPA qualified ideally, or working towards.
- Strong Excel capability with experience in MYOB (essential).
- Good communication and stakeholder management skills.
- An ability to perform well under pressure, and juggle multiple priorities at any one time.
