UCC Coffee ANZ is part of UCC Japan-one of Asia’s most respected coffee companies. With integrated operations spanning supply, manufacturing, service, and sales, we operate at scale in a commercially dynamic and operationally complex environment, supporting market-leading brands and products across food & beverage, convenience, QSR, retail and café channels. Our commitment to quality, innovation, and continuous improvement underpins our position as a market leader in coffee solutions across Australia and New Zealand.

We are now seeking a Credit Team Leader to join our team, focused specifically on credit processing for Toby’s Estate and guiding the wider AP/AR function. This is a rare opportunity to step into a pivotal, mid-level leadership role that combines end-to-end credit responsibility with hands-on execution, coaching, and process optimisation.

The role:

This is a proxy 70% processing, 30% leadership role, perfect for someone who thrives in the detail of credit operations but also enjoys supporting a capable, independent team. You'll oversee the Toby’s Estate ledger, manage collections and reconciliations, and maintain day-to-day control over credit performance with administrative support and guidance from the wider ANZ credit team.

You’ll bring overarching support to our team who operates with high autonomy, so this role needs someone who brings structure, who supports without overshadowing and who leads by doing, not by directing.

What you’ll be responsible for:

  • End-to-end ownership of Toby’s Estate credit ledger, including reconciliations, collections, and stakeholder follow-up
  • Monitoring and assigning tasks within the shared inbox and credit queues
  • Providing daily support, escalations, and check-ins with the credit team across brands
  • Leading short team huddles every few days, focused one to one’s with team members and overseeing annual goal setting and mid-year reviews
  • Driving process improvements and efficiency gains in tandem with BAU delivery
  • Partnering with the Financial Controller on reporting, internal controls, and escalation of risk

What you’ll bring:

  • Proven background in transactional credit or credit controller roles looking for a step up
  • Experience managing an end-to-end ledger independently
  • A pragmatic, hands-on leadership style- you guide and thrive in a collaborative team environment
  • Strong sense of ownership and accountability- you understand the importance of business unit distinction in shared services
  • Experience balancing operational delivery with process improvement initiatives
  • Experience in partnering with operational teams  (bringing in the wider communication/ interactions strength for stakeholder management and collaboration. It can be kept general, given that anyone right for the role will know immediately what that means – covering Operations awareness Customer issues and performance/ Operational processes impacting Credit etc).
  • Experience working in shared services or multi-brand environments (bonus)
  • Exposure to MYOB EXO accounting software or large ERP systems (bonus)
  • Familiarity with coaching and performance review processes (bonus)

Why join us?

  • Work in a market-leading FMCG business with a strong brand presence
  • Be part of a team that values trust, autonomy, and collaboration
  • Contribute to the credit reset that’s focused on ownership and excellence
  • Hybrid model with a supportive, pragmatic leadership team
