The Commercial Analyst is a pivotal and strategic role in the Customer Lifecycle Management team, responsible for translating data into actionable insights and helping identify key trends that underpin decision making and support the identification of commercial opportunities and risks. This function is accountable for helping to reduce churn and drive growth across the customer lifecycle, protecting revenue and growing customer lifetime value.

- Monitoring of home internet churn, tracking market conditions and recognise patterns that can influence disconnections.
- Use data analysis to identify trends and opportunities and to understand customer behaviour and identify key drivers of churn
- Strong collaboration and alignment with stakeholder groups, including, product, finance and channels to prioritise the approval, arbitration and presentation of retention programs to customers at risk.
- Possess excellent stakeholder management and engagement skills, including written & verbal
- Monitor and report on retention metrics and health of the customer base to evaluate the effectiveness of key strategies.
- Contribute to budgeting and forecasting initiatives to support initiatives, projects and yearly budgeting processes.
- Support in the development of business cases, financial modelling, and commercial analysis in relation to key projects and growth initiatives.
- Identify data driven opportunities to conduct experiments that can result in profitable commercial outcomes ensuring the initiatives can be scalable in the short term.
- Conduct Post Implementation Reviews of initiatives to evaluate success, ROI and improvements for any subsequent initiatives.
Knowledge & Experience
- Degree qualifications (e.g., Commerce, Business, Economics) are preferred but not required.
- A willingness to learn, strong curiosity, and a positive attitude.
- Strong sense of ownership and accountability for delivering high-quality work.
- Strong stakeholder-influencing abilities, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to present complex data and insights in a simple, clear and compelling way for non-technical audiences.
- Exceptional analytical skills, including data manipulation, model development, commercial analysis, and business casing/forecasting.
- Advanced Excel skills are essential. Basic SQL and/or Power BI skills are advantageous but not mandatory.
- Experience working within Agile environments, including tools such as Jira and Confluence, will be a plus.
