Your opportunity:
As an Internal Communications Specialist, you will play a key role in ensuring our employees are informed, engaged and aligned with our company strategy and values. You will support in the development of communication initiatives from inception to execution and lead the internal communications channel management.
Reporting to the Senior Internal Communications Manager, this role works closely with members of the Internal Comms team, broader People Experience team and teams across the business.
Responsibilities:
- Consulting
- Engage and communicate constructively and positively with the business.
- Consult with various business areas.
- Build strong and transparent relationships with key stakeholders to enable consultation on all communications initiatives which will support the requirements of our business and customers.
- Identify, raise and seek solutions to any potential roadblocks. Support in development of communications plans to deliver on key objectives.
- Align messaging with leadership vision and company culture.
- Channel management
- Manage internal communication platform: intranet, email system, and employee social network.
- Ensure messages are delivered through the most effective channels.
- Understand the platforms in detail to offer advice and support across the business where necessary.
- Produce high-quality content for the platforms to help support Internal Comms campaigns.
- Supervise key communities on the social network.
- Work closely with the IT team on management and improvements on all communications platforms.
- Identify opportunities for improvement, across user experience, operational efficiencies and platform engagement.
- Design & Delivery
- Create inspiring and engaging content with a focus on simple’s better.
- Create and manage video briefs through to completion with the Digital Content Producer.
- Write and edit newsletters, intranet posts, social posts and other internal materials.
- Uphold standards for producing content including brand tone, voice and style.
- Tailor content for different audiences (e.g., frontline staff vs. executives).
What you’ll bring:
- Experience in communications.
- Strong core communication skills, including writing and editing.
- High emotional intelligence for strong relationship building.
- Ability to translate information into engaging messages and storytelling, with creative flair.
- High level of digital literacy, with proven experience with different digital communications tools.
- Demonstrates creativity and innovation.
- A passion to learn and grow.
- Flexible and adaptable.
- Knowledge and experience with internal communications platforms including sharepoint, Viva Engage and Amplify is preferred but not essential.
