About the position

Ceramic Artisans is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Dental Lab Technician to join our dynamic dental laboratory team on a full time basis.

This is an exciting opportunity to build your skills and gain hands-on experience in the fabrication of high-quality dental restorations. Working alongside experienced technicians, you’ll be involved in a range of tasks including model preparation, scanning, pouring, trimming, and assisting with CAD/CAM and other production processes.

This role is ideal for someone with a keen eye for detail, good manual dexterity, and a willingness to learn. Full training will be provided, making it a great entry point into a rewarding career in dental technology.

We are very accessible to all forms of public transport. We are conveniently located near St Leonards train station, close to local bus routes and right next door to the new Metro train station about to open in Chatswood.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with the preparation and pouring of dental impressions into models
  • Trim and articulate models accurately according to instructions
  • Support digital processes including scanning and basic CAD design tasks
  • Label and organise cases and materials for tracking and production
  • Assist with the fabrication of dental appliances under supervision (e.g. crowns, bridges, dentures, splints)
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the lab environment
  • Follow strict infection control and health & safety protocols
  • Monitor inventory levels and assist with stock management
  • Collaborate with senior technicians and clinicians to ensure case quality and timely delivery

What do you need to succeed?

  • Ability to layer ceramic materials on various dental substrates (Emax, Zirconia, PFM, veneers, implants) for superior aesthetics and function
  • You must be able to work in a team environment, have excellent communication skills and be dedicated to the pursuit of excellence with a critical eye for precision and detail
  • You must be able to work unsupervised and be involved in the direct treatment planning and design of cases together with staff and dentists
  • Ensure meticulous attention to detail, maintaining consistent, high-quality ceramic build-up throughout the process
