About the Position:

Smiles Eastgardens is currently looking for an experienced Dental Assistant to join our team on a full time basis, with shifts available Monday through Saturday.

Join our supportive and dynamic team in a modern, cosy two-chair practice where collaboration and patient care are at the heart of everything we do. Our dentists and team are highly patient-focused, ensuring every individual receives quality treatment and a positive, comfortable experience.

We offer a wide range of services, from general check-ups to cosmetic treatments, providing a great opportunity to expand your skills and work across a variety of procedures in a welcoming and professional environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Patient Care: Assist with patient management, including greeting patients, preparing them for procedures, and ensuring their comfort.
  • Clinical Support: Prepare and sterilise dental instruments, assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, and maintain a clean and organised treatment area.
  • Inventory Management: Monitor dental supplies levels, ensuring the treatment room is well-stocked and organised.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with dentists, hygienists, and other staff to ensure a smooth workflow and positive patient experience.
  • Compliance: Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols, as well as regulatory requirements in the dental practice.

What do you need to succeed:

  • Prior experience as a Dental Assistant is essential
  • A Cert III or IV in Dental Assisting is beneficial but not mandatory
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to multitask, prioritise tasks, and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Capability to address patient concerns and resolve issues with professionalism and empathy
  • Attention to detail
