About the role

We are looking for a commercially minded M&A Analyst to join our team in Melbourne. This is a broad, hands-on role spanning the full deal lifecycle, from origination through to financial analysis, due diligence, and post-merger integration. You will work closely with senior stakeholders on live transactions, with real exposure to complex, high-value deals from day one.

Key Responsibilities

Deal origination

  • Identify, meet and evaluate acquisition targets
  • Build and maintain a pipeline of prospective deals, tracking market trends and competitive dynamics

Financial modelling

  • Build and maintain financial models
  • Synthesize financial and operational data to assess deal attractiveness
  • Prepare clear, well-structured presentations and investment committee materials

Due diligence

  • Coordinate and execute buy-side due diligence
  • Liaise with external advisors and manage data room processes
  • Identify key risks and value drivers, translating findings into actionable recommendations

Integration

  • Support the development and execution of post-merger integration plans
  • Assist with synergy modelling against deal thesis

To Be Successful In This Role, You Will Possess

  • 2-4 years’ experience in M&A, corporate development, private equity or management consulting
  • Strong financial modelling and valuation skills
  • Experience supporting transactions end-to-end from origination through to close
  • Excellent communication skills - comfortable presenting to senior stakeholders and meeting vendors
  • Ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience in healthcare, dental or allied health sectors is highly regarded but not essential

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Commerce, Economics, Accounting or a related field
