About the Position:

About Smiles Eastgardens is on the lookout for a friendly and professional receptionist to join our busy, patient-focused practice on a part time basis two days per week. We are a cosy two chair practice offering a wide range of treatments from general check ups to cosmetic treatments.

As the first point of contact, you’ll play a key role in creating a warm and welcoming experience for every patient who walks through our doors. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working with people, thrives in a team environment, and takes pride in providing excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Patient Interaction: Greet patients warmly, check them in and out, and manage appointment scheduling.
  • Administrative Support: Handle phone calls, emails, and inquiries, providing information about treatments and addressing patient concerns or complaints.
  • Billing and Insurance: Process payments, manage billing inquiries, and assist patients with payment plans and verification.
  • Records Management: Maintain patient records accurately, ensuring confidentiality and compliance within regulations.
  • Office Organisation: Keep the reception area tidy and organised, ensuring that all necessary materials are stocked and available.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with dental staff to ensure efficient patient flow and communication between front and back office.

What do you need to succeed:

  • Prior experience in a dental setting is essential
  • A Cert III or IV in Dental Assisting is beneficial but not mandatory
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to multitask, prioritise tasks, and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Capability to address patient concerns and resolve issues with professionalism and empathy
  • Attention to detail
