About the position:

Caneland Dental is currently seeking a professional and dedicated Dental Receptionist to join our supportive team on a full-time basis, Monday to Friday.

Our modern practice is home to a dynamic and patient-focused team of dentists and staff who are committed to delivering the highest quality treatments and ensuring a consistently positive, patient-centered experience.

In this role, you will be the first point of contact for patients and play a key role in creating a warm, welcoming, and seamless patient journey—from initial enquiry through to treatment completion.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Patient Interaction: Greet patients warmly, check them in and out, and manage appointment scheduling.
  • Administrative Support: Handle phone calls, emails, and inquiries, providing information about treatments and addressing patient concerns or complaints.
  • Billing and Insurance: Process payments, manage billing inquiries, and assist patients with payment plans and verification.
  • Records Management: Maintain patient records accurately, ensuring confidentiality and compliance within regulations.
  • Office Organisation: Keep the reception area tidy and organised, ensuring that all necessary materials are stocked and available.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with dental staff to ensure efficient patient flow and communication between front and back office.

What do you need to succeed:

  • Prior experience in dental or medical reception is essential
  • A Cert III or IV in Dental Assisting is beneficial but not mandatory
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to multitask, prioritise tasks, and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Capability to address patient concerns and resolve issues with professionalism and empathy
  • Attention to detail
