About the Position:
Totally Smiles Geelong is seeking an experienced Dental Receptionist to join our friendly and professional team on a part-time basis (Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays).
We are looking for a warm, personable, and organised receptionist with prior dental experience to support our modern, 5-chair practice. At Totally Smiles Geelong, our dentists and team are committed to delivering exceptional patient care, offering a wide range of services from general check-ups to advanced treatments such as implants.
Conveniently located in the heart of Geelong, our practice is easily accessible by public transport and surrounded by a great selection of cafes and restaurants.
Key Responsibilities:
Patient Interaction: Greet patients warmly, check them in and out, and manage appointment scheduling.
Administrative Support: Handle phone calls, emails, and inquiries, providing information about treatments and addressing patient concerns or complaints.
Billing and Insurance: Process payments, manage billing inquiries, and assist patients with payment plans and verification.
Records Management: Maintain patient records accurately, ensuring confidentiality and compliance within regulations.
Office Organisation: Keep the reception area tidy and organised, ensuring that all necessary materials are stocked and available.
Team Collaboration: Work closely with dental staff to ensure efficient patient flow and communication between front and back office.

What do you need to succeed:
- Prior experience is essential
- A Cert III or IV in Dental Assisting is beneficial but not mandatory
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to multitask, prioritise tasks, and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Capability to address patient concerns and resolve issues with professionalism and empathy
- Attention to detail
