About the position:
Totally Smiles Pakenham is currently seeking an experienced Dental Assistant to join our welcoming team on a casual basis, with the view to transition into a part-time role in the future. We are open Monday to Saturday, so shifts will be rostered across these days.
Join our supportive and friendly team, where we offer a wide range of general and cosmetic treatments in our modern 4-chair practice. We are also happy to provide reception training for the right candidate looking to expand their skill set.
Our dentists and team are highly patient-focused, ensuring the highest quality treatments and patient-centred care are delivered every time. Conveniently located in the heart of Pakenham, we are close to local shops and cafes, making it a great place to work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Patient Care: Assist with patient management, including greeting patients, preparing them for procedures, and ensuring their comfort.
- Clinical Support: Prepare and sterilise dental instruments, assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, and maintain a clean and organised treatment area.
- Inventory Management: Monitor dental supplies levels, ensuring the treatment room is well-stocked and organised.
- Patient Education: Provide patients with post-operative care instructions and educate them about oral hygiene and preventive care.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with dentists, hygienists, and other staff to ensure a smooth workflow and positive patient experience.
- Compliance: Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols, as well as regulatory requirements in the dental practice.
