About the position:
Kincumber Dental Care is a welcoming, family-oriented practice providing high-quality general and cosmetic dentistry to our local community. We pride ourselves on creating a comfortable and friendly environment where patients feel cared for and valued.
We are currently searching for an experienced Dental Assistant to join our team on a part-time basis — 2 days per week (Mondays and Fridays).
As part of our long-standing, supportive team, you’ll play an important role in delivering exceptional patient care and helping the practice run smoothly. You will report to the Practice Manager and work closely with our skilled dental team, gaining exposure to a variety of procedures and opportunities to further develop your professional skills.

Key Responsibilities:
- Patient Care: Assist with patient management, including greeting patients, preparing them for procedures, and ensuring their comfort.
- Clinical Support: Prepare and sterilise dental instruments, assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, and maintain a clean and organised treatment area.
- Inventory Management: Monitor dental supplies levels, ensuring the treatment room is well-stocked and organised.
- Patient Education: Provide patients with post-operative care instructions and educate them about oral hygiene and preventive care.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with dentists, hygienists, and other staff to ensure a smooth workflow and positive patient experience.
- Compliance: Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols, as well as regulatory requirements in the dental practice.

What do you need to succeed:
- Prior experience as a Dental Assistant is preferred
- A Cert III or IV in Dental Assisting is beneficial but not mandatory
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to multitask, prioritise tasks, and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Capability to address patient concerns and resolve issues with professionalism and empathy
- Attention to detail
