About the Position:
We’re looking for a dedicated and experienced dental receptionist to join our team at About Smiles Chatswood on a part-time basis, working 4 days per week — Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, plus one to two Saturday per month.
At About Smiles Chatswood, you’ll be part of an experienced team with over 25 years of combined clinical experience, delivering high-quality cosmetic and general dentistry. The practice offers a wide range of treatments, including implants, oral surgery and veneers.
As one of the first faces our patients see, you’ll play an important role in creating a warm, professional and positive experience from the moment they walk through the door. We’re looking for someone who enjoys connecting with people, is organised and confident in a busy environment, and takes pride in making patients feel comfortable and well looked after.
Key Responsibilities:
- Patient Interaction: Greet patients warmly, check them in and out, and manage appointment scheduling.
- Administrative Support: Handle phone calls, emails, and inquiries, providing information about treatments and addressing patient concerns or complaints.
- Billing and Insurance: Process payments, manage billing inquiries, and assist patients with payment plans and verification.
- Records Management: Maintain patient records accurately, ensuring confidentiality and compliance within regulations.
- Office Organisation: Keep the reception area tidy and organised, ensuring that all necessary materials are stocked and available.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with dental staff to ensure efficient patient flow and communication between front and back office.

What do you need to succeed:
- Prior dental receptionist experience is essential
- A Cert III or IV in Dental Assisting is beneficial
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to multitask, priorities tasks, and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Capability to address patient concerns and resolve issues with professionalism and empathy
- Attention to detail
